Insurance Administrator - Finance (Permanent Position)

Location: Leopardstown, Dublin 18

Job Purpose

The Insurance Administrator will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of premiums, claims, commissions, program costs, and related financial transactions. The role supports Ayvens Insurance, Ayvens leasing entities, and claims handlers through the effective processing of data within operational systems, reporting, and cash flow management activities. The role will be part of the Ayvens Insurance Finance Team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned insurance portfolios, supporting Ayvens entities across the Group as well as third-party clients.
  • Perform premium validation checks to support month-end accounting, reporting, and tax compliance requirements.
  • Process premium and commission invoicing activities end-to-end, investigating and resolving related data queries and discrepancies.
  • Process claims, programme costs, and claims-handling invoices within internal systems in accordance with established procedures and controls.
  • Process payments relating to insurance tax obligations (including Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)), ensuring that all deadlines are met as part of the end-to-end process.
  • Manage the relationship with the outsourced tax services provider, ensuring timely receipt of deliverables and compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Review and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns prepared by Ayvens Insurance's fiscal representatives, ensuring supporting payment evidence is received and maintained.
  • Maintain, review, and regularly update team processes, procedures, and internal documentation on SharePoint.
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, efficiency, and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and undertake additional duties as required.
  • Complete all mandatory Ayvens Insurance, Ayvens, Société Générale, and IT training requirements.

Knowledge /Skills

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in the Insurance industry, particularly Motor insurance would be beneficial
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Third-level qualification in Business, Finance, Analytics, Maths, Science or Insurance is preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of key activities
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise work to meet transaction and reporting deadlines
  • Being proactive and ability to work on own initiative
  • Team player who will play an important role as part of a small specialised team 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
