Description

The IT Business Unit Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Application Portfolio Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of local applications, from initial registration and onboarding in the Citi Systems Inventory (CSI) to eventual retirement, ensuring data accuracy and completeness is maintained as per firm standards (ADQR/CDQR).

  • Application Risk and Compliance: Proactively identify, register, and manage application-related risks by monitoring internal systems (e.g., CAMP, iCAPS), ensuring timely creation and completion of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and addressing all compliance requirements including record management and third-party monitoring.

  • Information Security (IS) Oversight: Drive the information security agenda for the application portfolio, ensuring all mandatory reviews (e.g., Vulnerability Assessments, code scans, entitlement reviews) are completed on schedule and that vulnerabilities from VTM, EOVS, and GEM are remediated according to policy.

  • Audit and Regulatory Engagement: Act as the primary technology point of contact for internal and external audits (e.g., CBUAE, KPMG, OCC) and regulatory bodies. This includes providing governance-related support and ensuring all tech deliverables and requirements are met.

  • Business Continuity and Resiliency: Guarantee application resilience by ensuring all Continuity of Business (COB) testing requirements, including data center and vendor COB testing, are addressed in a timely fashion for the entire application portfolio.

  • Product & Program Management Leadership: Provide senior Technology SME leadership across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and gap analysis to implementation, facilitating business approvals, third-party engagement, and ensuring successful customer launches.

  • Strategic Roadmap and Book of Work Management: Develop and maintain the technology product roadmap in alignment with the overall CGW strategy, while managing the country's book of work, including demand prioritization, scope management, and delivery of functions.

  • Business and Financial Leadership: Lead key governance forums such as the monthly technology operating reviews, presenting on program status, financial performance, production stability, and key regulatory updates to senior leadership.

  • Service Management and Vendor Engagement: Oversee release and downtime management protocols, ensuring clear communication with business stakeholders. Manage technical coordination and maintain service standards with third-party vendors and interfaces

  • Strategic Forum Representation: Represent the In-Country Technology office in key strategic forums, including the Country Risk and Control Forum and the CBUAE-mandated Consumer Protection Regulation Oversight Forum, to report on key technology updates, incidents, risks, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in a technology planning role.

  • Advanced level of experience in Project Management

  • Subject matter expert in at least one area of technology planning.

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
