HSE Specialist

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Contribute and advise on specialist matters regarding HSE within a company, to ensure that Jotun operates in a safe way within current applicable regulations .

Responsibilities:

• Drive and continuously develop a strong safety culture throughout the plant.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Czech HSE legislation, Jotun requirements and company standards.

• Maintain and develop the HSE management system in accordance with ISO 45001, with relevant cooperation within the ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems.

• Identify, assess and manage workplace risks and ensure effective implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive measures.

• Conduct regular Safety Walks, workplace inspections, risk assessments and internal audits.

• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identify root causes and ensure effective corrective actions.

• Monitor HSE performance and actively contribute to achieving HSE KPIs and targets.

• Organize and deliver HSE training, including induction training and targeted safety awareness activities.

• Coordinate and support fire prevention, emergency preparedness and emergency drills.

• Ensure correct use of PPE and compliance with safety rules and procedures.

• Manage occupational health and safety documentation, including workplace categorization and related cooperation with occupational health and public health authorities.

• Cooperate with production, maintenance, HR and other functions to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations and projects.

• Support contractor safety management and ensure compliance with Jotun HSE requirements.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership from identifying a problem through to implementing and verifying the solution.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

CZECH language is essential.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 

• Professional competence in prevention of risks (OZO v prevenci rizik) – required. 

• Professional competence in fire protection (OZO v PO) – required. 

• Practical experience with risk assessment, incident investigation and corrective/preventive actions. 

• Experience with ISO 45001; knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 is an advantage. 

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of responsibilities. 

• Good command of Czech and English, both written and spoken. 

• Good knowledge of MS Office.
