IB - Global Markets Analyst – Macro Sales

Deutsche Bank’s Global Markets business offers a fully integrated, global product platform. With unrivalled breadth and superior execution capabilities, we are dedicated to making markets and providing sophisticated client solutions across a wide range of Macro products.

Our product suite includes Foreign Exchange (FX), Rates, Options, Bonds, External Debt, and complex cross-market derivatives spanning multiple global jurisdictions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Analyst/Associate to join our Macro Sales team to support client coverage, drive market analysis, and facilitate seamless trade execution.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Client Coverage & Execution Support

• Client Query Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional clients, responding efficiently and professionally to inquiries regarding market data, order status, and electronic execution options.
• Trade Execution Support: Partner with senior sales coverage to facilitate seamless trade input, booking, and post-trade processing across both developed and emerging market assets.
• Onboarding & Lifecycle Management: Coordinate closely with Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to navigate Know Your Customer (KYC), ISDA, and GMRA documentation, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for clients.

Market Analysis & Idea Generation

• Market Intelligence: Monitor global macroeconomic data, central bank policy shifts, and geopolitical developments to synthesize market color and communicate actionable trading trends to the desk.
• Client Advisory Collateral: Create high-quality, tailored presentation materials, macro recaps, and customized product solutions for client pitches and advisory meetings.
• Cross-Desk Collaboration: Actively liaise with Rates, FX, and Structured Products trading desks to match available market inventory with client demands and investment mandates.

Your Skills and Experience

Education & Credentials

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a highly quantitative discipline.
• Licensing: Ability and willingness to quickly study for and pass required local regulatory licensing exams (e.g., FCA, FINRA, or local equivalent) upon hiring.

Technical Capabilities

• Market Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) products, including government bonds, interest rate dynamics, and foreign exchange markets.
• Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, vlookups, macros) and PowerPoint.
• Systems Exposure: Prior experience using financial terminals such as Bloomberg or Reuters is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
