About this role:

  • Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong in Java/JEE, Spring framework, JavaScript, RESTful web services
  • Sound knowledge of UI frameworks like
  • Strong understanding of microservices and associated design patterns
  • Experience with latest unit testing tools including Junit
  • Experience with best-in-class version control tools like GitHub
  • Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
  • Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge on messaging systems like MQ, Solace, Kafka
  • Experience in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities
  • Should be well versed with test driven development and be knowledgeable on associated tools and practices


Job Expectations:

  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with globally distributed teams in Agile Scrum environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Design and implement GenAI solutions, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI safety guardrails.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and services that expose GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities across enterprise applications.
  • Monitor and optimize AI model performance, ensuring scalability, reliability, throughput, and low latency.
  • Strong understanding of Agentic AI concepts, orchestration frameworks, and autonomous workflow design.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise-scale software applications.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of new features, enhancements, and platform capabilities.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges while driving engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to solution architecture, scalability, security, resiliency, and performance optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to deliver business value and strategic outcomes.
  • Lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Conduct code reviews and champion high standards for code quality, maintainability, and operational excellence.
  • Support production stability, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Drive innovation through the adoption of modern engineering practices, cloud-native technologies, microservices, and AI-driven solutions.
