Job Description:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will provide expertise in and serve as an advisor with key human resources workflows, systems, and projects. This position will work closely with the HR leadership team to deploy HR strategies and initiatives in support of the organization's goals. The HRBP will provide daily strategic HR guidance including, but not limited to, policy implementation, performance evaluation management, team member engagement, and HR compliance.
The HRBP will utilize the Human Capital Management system [Workday] to properly execute workflow and develop and analyze data, share insights and update KPI’s for formulation of recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
CORE PEOPLE
- Build credibility and trust by resolving team member relations issues through reliable and prompt resolution, clear documentation, and follow-through. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating employee relations and performance issues, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Educate team members on compensation and benefit practices, including compensation, performance feedback, performance calibration, and career transitions.
- Communicate policy, benefit, and compliance information to team members to ensure understanding. Provides policy guidance and interpretation.
- Assist in administering team member engagement initiatives such as lifecycle surveys, action planning and reporting. Support and enhance the team member experience including onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Provide expert advice in complex cases.
- Provides general support and functions as back-up for other positions within the Human Resources department as needed
- Assist leaders with the development of appropriate job descriptions.
STRATEGY
- Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
- Identify training needs for individuals and teams to share with the Talent Development and Education Services teams for the development value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and job performance.
- Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development.
- Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
DATA ANALYTICS
- Develop, analyze, and interpret various types of reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
COMMUNICATION
- Draft internal team member communications regarding functional areas or projects.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
- Completes special projects as assigned by clarifying objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information.
- Manages expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports
- Collaborate with the HR team and other cross functional team members on issue resolution and project completion.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations required.
- Broad knowledge of HR industry practices with demonstrated generalist experience in areas of compensation, benefits, recruitment, and talent development.
- Workday experience strongly preferred.
- Healthcare experience a plus.
- Must be located in Nashville, TN.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Normal classroom training environment along with one-on-one at clinic locations
- Occasional travel throughout Tennessee area between clinic offices, administrative home office, and other satellite locations
- Occasional lifting required up to 25 pounds.
