Job Summary
The Supervisor of Emergency Services Communications performs complex managerial and professional work within the Ambulance Services department. This position is responsible for management and oversight of the coordinated fleet/ground transport system and the communication/dispatch system for all of the statewide areas served by Prisma Health. Day to day operations include 911 EMD Dispatch, Scheduled and Un-scheduled EMS transports - including Emergent, Urgent, and non-Emergent transports- CAD systems, and radio communication systems, along with associated technology. This also includes administration of departmental personnel and any future programs that fall within the confines of the department, as assigned by the Manager or Director. Essential Functions

Works with and monitors CAD operations to ensure accuracy of information held within and ensure confidentiality of data points and measures. Works to ensure operational readiness of the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) 24/7.
Coordinate with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure effective information flow.
Supervise and mentor communications personnel, including scheduling, performance management, and professional development.
Oversee day-to-day communication operations, including emergency dispatch, incident reporting, and information dissemination.
Ensure the reliability, functionality, and maintenance of all communication systems and equipment.
Develop, implement, and enforce communication policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
Monitor performance metrics, track operational efficiency, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations and standards.
Operates as a call taker or dispatcher as needed for fill in for open, un-filled positions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisor/Management Responsibilities
This is a supervisor job which may have direct supervision of team members which may include hire/termination authority, disciplinary authority, and performance management responsibilities. May include final budget authority. Job is not considered a member of management staff.
Minimum Requirements
Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned - preferred
Experience - Three (3) years of experience as a 911 Dispatcher. Three (3) years of experience as a Paramedic preferred. One (1) year Leadership experience preferred

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) and/or APCO Public Service Telecommunicator (PST) OR another, nationally recognized Public Safety Telecommunicator and/or Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficient in Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry).
Knowledge of office equipment (fax / copier)
Knowledge of CAD system user operations.
