Job Description
As a Security Guard Full Time in Niles, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and observe the movement of people and vehicles entering and leaving the facility in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
