THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is looking for a Commodities eTrading Analyst based out of Boadilla del Monte (Madrid, Spain).
As part of the Commodities eTrading team, you will work on initiatives that expand Santander's electronic trading capabilities, enabling scalable client growth through automation, data-driven decision making, and innovative technology to maximize the Electronic Trading related P&L. You will partner closely with Sales, Structuring, Quants and Technology teams to deliver solutions that enhance the client experience and support business growth through digital channels.

- Create and expand electronic trading connectivity services for Commodity products, providing clients with a seamless end-to-end digital experience.
- Analyse trading, client and market data to identify business opportunities and drive performance improvements.
- Drive innovation in digital client services, APIs and automated trading capabilities.
- Manage and enhance eTrading platforms and workflows to improve client service quality, optimize risk controls, and support business growth.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to reduce operational risk, increase efficiency, and support scalable growth.
- Design and enhance tools for pricing, risk monitoring, trading analytics and workflow optimization.

Professional Experience
- Experience in Financial Markets and Derivatives Products (Required)
- Knowledge of Commodity Markets (Preferred)
Education
- Master's degree or above in a STEM field (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline).
Languages
- English (Required)
- Spanish (Preferred)
Hard Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of financial markets, quantitative finance, derivatives products, and electronic trading workflows.
- Experience with programming and data analysis
- Interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applied to financial markets.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment
