We are searching for the best talent for Summer 2027 Vision Q&C Intern to be in Jacksonville, FL or Irvine, CA.

  • The Interns term is from May/June to August, 2027. (dates are flexible)
  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
  • 4 vacancies are currently available.

Purpose:

At J&J quality, professionals work across all sectors and come in many guises from the generalist to the specialist. Our Q&C roles offer breadth and depth allowing for growth and development in different areas. Q&C professionals are dedicated to protecting and strengthening our organizations by making sure that stakeholders’ needs are met and their expectations are exceeded. At a strategic level, Q&C is focused on increasing efficiency, reducing risk, dealing with compliance, solving problems, and employing process improvement tools such as Six Sigma in the products to ensure we meet stakeholder needs. Quality and Compliance is an important component in the success of J&J as it ensures our companies produce services and products consistently and effectively in addition to meeting global regulations to support our customers’ healthcare needs. Our technologically advanced corporate environment focuses on developing individuals in building their skills in areas like business, engineering, and science.

You will be responsible:

University hires play an important role in enhancing our business. We plan to hire students from various majors for our 2027 Internships. The intern program provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and mentoring, networking opportunities, as well as the opportunity to meet people from various schools throughout the country. Each intern will be assigned to a single function with a specific project. Internship duration is 12 weeks.

  • Assignment will be onsite, with potential for hybrid schedules, and will require relocation
  • Assignment area and work-site location will be matched to business needs
  • Some roles may offer one-time housing stipend assistance
  • Transportation is the student’s responsibility
  • Intern Program Perks include: Career mentorship from industry experts, professional development programs, networking opportunities with JJV leadership and weekly intern events.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Math, Chemistry, Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Biostatistics, Environmental Science - ENGINEERING: i.e. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial, Biomedical, Information Systems: (i.e. Data Analytics, Database Management, System administration, analyst, etc.), Computer Science, Data Science, Technology, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • You must not have any Summer Internship contract or other employment commitment that could interfere with the contract dates specified for this position.
  • Ability to provide transportation to/from the work location is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills is required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills and leadership skills are preferred.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while delivering results.
  • Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to team goals.
  • Proven leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities.

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
