Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Atlassian Jira / Jira Service Management (JSM) Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Jira Automation, REST APIs, integrations, ScriptRunner/Groovy, and Atlassian Marketplace applications.
The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, customization, development, integration, testing, deployment, enhancement, and production support of Jira/JSM solutions in an enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes and experience integrating Jira/JSM with enterprise applications such as Oracle HRMS/Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Teams, and other ITSM/business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, develop, and support Jira Software and Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Design and implement Jira/JSM workflows, screens, fields, schemes, permissions, roles, notifications, and automation rules.
- Configure JSM request types, customer portals, queues, SLAs, approvals, and ITSM processes.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Jira/JSM solutions.
- Develop and maintain REST API, webhook, and enterprise system integrations.
- Implement inbound, outbound, and bidirectional data synchronization between Jira/JSM and external systems.
- Work with Atlassian Marketplace applications such as Getint or equivalent integration tools.
- Support integrations with Oracle HRMS/Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Teams, and other enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain automation using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner/Groovy, APIs, and webhooks.
- Troubleshoot Jira, JSM, workflow, automation, and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Perform development, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, documentation, and post-production hypercare.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and internal IT teams on projects and enhancements.
- Leverage Jira-native capabilities and Marketplace solutions before considering custom development.
- Support Jira/JSM production environments and participate in incident and problem resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, and integration specifications.
Required Technical Skills

Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Jira/JSM.
- Proven experience in end-to-end Jira/JSM implementation, customization, integration, enhancement, and production support.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and cross-functional IT teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Atlassian Jira/JSM certifications are an advantage.
- ITIL certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or similar programming languages is an advantage.
