Job Description:

The Role: 

• Come help design, deliver, and optimize the products that help produce some of the most important semiconductor devices in the world. 

• Entegris is seeking an Analyst Chemist with general knowledge of analytical chemistry and techniques applied to the characterization of complex mixtures. This knowledge is required to develop analytical methods, provide support to the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality groups via QC analysis.  This opportunity allows the right person to expand their technical skill set and participate on a dynamic team in a growing organization.  This position is located at Entegris’s plant in Oseong South Korea. 

• The ideal candidate will be results oriented and an excellent team player, with solid knowledge of chemistry, materials science & physics, and familiarity with semiconductor device materials, structures, and metrology 

In this role you will: 

• Conducts analysis as defined by existing work instructions on raw materials and finished goods to ensure QC; 

• Drives for continuous improvement of existing testing methods; 

• Performs material characterizations using analytical instruments; 

• Uses proper controls for analytical instrumentation, validates and verifies data and takes corrective action when necessary; 

• Maintains instrumentation and performs procedures for product testing purposes; 

• Tests and analyzes R&D samples, manufactured materials, and in-process samples when needed; 

• Works on cross-functional teams as analytical subject matter expert. 

 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

• Major subject of chemistry, physics or engineering required; 

• General lab instrument (CPS, LPC, HPLC, IC, GC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES,) operations and maintenance experience preferred; 

• Strong Expertise in chemical analysis related to Slurry product and advanced deposition materials 

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English required; 

• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office LIMS experience preferred.   

• Experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams; 

• Demonstrated problem solving skills with a passion for learning and teaching; 

• Self-starting leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 

• Ability to operate in a global environment; 

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;

• Continuous training on the various analytical techniques and methods.
