About the Role
Every microsecond in this role carries weight. You'll be building the low latency infrastructure that connects GSR's trading systems to crypto spot and derivatives markets, and the code you ship has a direct line to trading P&L.
You'll design and build core components of our trading platform in Rust, working across market data distribution, order placement, and trade and balance management. This is hands-on development on production-critical systems, sitting within a multiregional team of five, working closely with Trading, Quant and Engineering to get solutions into production fast.
You'll also shape how we organise and expose our data: cataloguing, tracing provenance, and building the APIs and services that let users query analytics data themselves rather than wait on you.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core components of GSR's low latency trading platform in Rust
- Maintain data quality, cataloguing, and provenance tracing across the platform
- Build APIs and services that deliver analytics data to users in a self-service form
- Build and maintain trading platform functionality across market connectivity, order placement, and trade and balance management
- Improve existing market connectivity and trading infrastructure
- Partner with quants, traders, operations and engineering to prioritise and deliver solutions that drive business outcomes
- Contribute hands-on development within a multiregional team of five on production-critical systems
Your Profile
- 7+ years in fintech (tradfi and/or crypto), with experience in a front office environment
- Strong compsci, engineering, mathematics or related background, or equivalent experience
- Experience coding in Rust (preferred) or C++
- Experience building low latency, distributed systems and networking components
- Solid understanding of market data feeds, reference data, and trading workflows
- Strong relationship and communication skills, able to bridge front office requirements with engineering execution
- Ownership mindset, with precision and a drive for continuous improvement
- Nice to have: familiarity with streaming and messaging systems, Aeron preferred
