Finance | Business Administration internship: financial insights and reporting

Introduction

The Business Insights & Control team supports financial transparency and data-driven decision making across ASML in Veldhoven. Your assignment

During this internship, you will support the execution and continuous improvement of ASML’s monthly business performance review process. You will help ensure that financial information is accurate, timely, and actionable while contributing to process optimization initiatives. In addition, you will work with different stakeholders and support reporting activities that enable informed business decisions.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Support the coordination and execution of monthly business review activities
• Validate, consolidate, and process financial and operational data
• Assist in preparing management reports and performance insights
• Develop and maintain clear process documentation and work instructions
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and simplify existing processes
• Support data quality and consistency across reporting environments
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives

This is a bachelor or master internship (thesis optional) for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of January/February 2027.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

• Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Work in a structured and detail-oriented manner
• Demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach
• Communicate effectively with different stakeholders and teams

This internship is well suited for students who are interested in financial planning, reporting, data analysis, and process improvement. Proficiency in Excel is required. Knowledge of financial reporting concepts is beneficial. Experience with, or an interest in, financial systems and analytics tools such as SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is considered a plus but is not required. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to develop practical skills, work with experienced professionals, and gain valuable insight into financial decision making within a leading technology organization.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship, and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship;
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement);
• You attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your application shows the willingness to relocate.
