Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. Our Uganda program, founded in 2014, provides more than 34,000 farmers with quality farm supplies as well as fruit trees like avocados. Our team in Uganda is headquartered in Jinja, close to the districts we serve, and supported by a small presence in Kampala. One Acre Fund works in the eastern region of Uganda, primarily in the districts of Iganga, Jinja, Kamuli, and Buikwe.

About the Role

Seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Coordinator with 2+ years of experience to lead regional data processes, manage field trials, build data skills across teams, and translate field insights into strategies that boost farmer impact.

Responsibilities

Digital Data Collection & Survey Tool Management

• Lead, set up, deploy, and manage digital survey collection tools (CommCare, SurveyCTO, Kobo) to drive efficient regional field data collection.

Data Hygiene & Advanced Excel Analytics

• Clean, structure, and analyze large field datasets using advanced Excel techniques to translate quantitative and qualitative field insights into actionable strategies.

Field Trial Coordination & Process Management 

• Oversee regional data processes and R&D field trial operations while integrating feedback from Field Managers and back-checkers.

Stakeholder Management & Capacity Building

• Train, upskill, and mentor regional teams and field staff on survey design, data hygiene, and data collection tools.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data and analytics, managing regional data processes, or field operations.
• Strong expertise in digital data collection tools (CommCare, SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox)
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and data cleaning, including formulas, data hygiene, and structuring large field datasets.
• Proven capability in stakeholder management and capacity building, with experience training non-technical field staff. 
• Strong problem-solving abilities and quantitative analytical skills. 
• Excellent team management skills with experience leading field data collection teams.
