As an Assistant Solutions Owner, you will work at the intersection of technology, business processes, and scholarly publishing, helping ensure solutions are scalable, user-focused, and aligned with business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop expertise in platform management, business analysis, and product delivery within a global environment.
How you will make an impact
- Support the collection, review, and documentation of end-user, business, and system requirements for products, features, and services.
- Assist in translating business workflow needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support release planning, business-led user acceptance testing (UAT), and solution rollouts.
- Create and maintain project documentation, communications, training materials, and process guides.
- Support project and change management activities associated with new platform releases.
- Track requirements, testing outcomes, project decisions, and timelines using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions align with user and business needs.
- Respond to routine user queries following deployments and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Exposure to scholarly publishing, peer review systems, or related publishing workflows.
- Experience supporting requirements gathering, testing, process design, documentation, or project coordination activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Power Automate.
- Experience using collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with software development, lifecycle concepts and Agile ways of working is desirable.
- Coursework or certifications in Business Analysis, Product Management, User Experience, or Project Management would be an advantage.
- Exposure to writing business or system requirements and executing user acceptance testing is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and business processes.
- Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
