Lead the transformation of the Investment Research technology ecosystem by building scalable, cloud-native research platforms, accelerating AI adoption, and enabling data-driven investment decisions across all asset classes. This role combines engineering leadership, architecture, research domain expertise, and delivery excellence to create next-generation capabilities for researchers, portfolio managers, and investment teams.

What you will be responsible for

As an Investment Research Platform, Regional Lead - Vice President you will -

Research Platform Strategy

  • Define and execute the roadmap for a unified research platform supporting all asset classes.

  • Drive platform simplification, modernization, and cloud-native transformation.

  • Partner with Research, Investments, Data, and AI leaders to deliver strategic business outcomes.

AI & Research Innovation

  • Enable AI-powered research workflows that improve productivity, insight generation, and investment outcomes.

  • Drive adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent search, workflow automation, and advanced analytics.

  • Establish scalable and governed AI foundations for research teams.

Engineering & Delivery Leadership

  • Architect and deliver scalable, secure, enterprise-grade solutions leveraging modern cloud and data platforms.

  • Lead strategic transformation programs from concept through production.

  • Build reusable platform capabilities that accelerate onboarding, analytics, model development, and AI enablement.

  • Establish engineering excellence through modern development practices, automation, DevOps, and operational rigor.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and inspire an elite engineering team with a culture of ownership, urgency, innovation, and accountability.

  • Coach future leaders through candid feedback, mentorship, and continuous learning.

  • Build strong global partnerships across business, research, vendor, and technology organizations.

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • 15+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering experience.

  • 5+ years leading engineering teams and large-scale delivery programs.

  • Strong architecture and design experience across modern data ecosystems.

  • Deep expertise in:

    • Databricks

    • Data Warehousing

    • ETL/ELT Design & Development

    • Data Modeling

    • Lakehouse Architectures

    • Distributed Data Processing

  • Strong programming experience in:

    • Python (preferred)

    • Apache Spark / PySpark

    • SQL

    • Unix/Shell Scripting

  • Experience with one or more cloud providers:

    • AWS

Research & Data Platform Experience

  • Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.

  • Delivered at least two large-scale modernization or transformation programs.

  • Strong understanding of investment research workflows, research data, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled research capabilities.

  • Experience working with leading market data and research providers including Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Global, Morningstar, MSCI, ICE, LSEG/Refinitiv, FTSE Russell, JPMorgan and other industry data providers.

  • Knowledge of vendor onboarding, entitlements, licensing, benchmark data, holdings, fundamentals, market data, and research content ecosystems.
