We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Director to join our team in Toronto. This position will report to the Director, Portfolio Management and Operations and will support a number of key strategic initiatives across portfolio reporting, thematic research, capital allocation, market and peer analysis, and innovation and technology projects.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate research and data into clear insights. They will be a collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across the organization.


You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting portfolio and market analysis, including research on macroeconomic trends, capital allocation decisions, portfolio construction, concentration risk, and performance drivers
  • Supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of OMERS Infrastructure's investment and asset management framework, including related processes, governance standards, and performance monitoring tools
  • Tracking and assessing asset management initiatives and value creation plans across the portfolio, including monitoring key performance indicators, strategic priorities, and progress against objectives
  • Conducting periodic reviews and internal audits of portfolio management, reporting, and governance processes to identify risks, ensure adherence to established frameworks, and recommend opportunities for improvement
  • Assisting with the preparation and development of reporting, presentations and various materials for discussion at the executive level
  • Developing and maintaining executive-level dashboards and reporting packages (monthly, quarterly, and annual) to monitor portfolio performance and progress against the OMERS Infrastructure strategy
  • Gathering competitive intelligence and developing peer benchmarking analyses and case studies to support strategic decision-making
  • Supporting the development, monitoring, and ongoing refinement of strategic metrics and frameworks used to evaluate business performance and key initiatives
  • Taking ownership of recurring deliverables and ensuring outputs are accurate, thoughtful, and delivered to a consistently high standard
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of more efficient and scalable reporting and operational processes
  • Collaborating closely across the Infrastructure platform and broader OMERS enterprise to build relationships, leverage expertise, and identify opportunities to add value
  • Working with technology and data teams to enhance reporting, improve data quality, and identify opportunities to leverage portfolio data for greater insights and efficiency

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, private equity investment and asset management consulting, or a related analytical environment
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, leveraging AI tools with an aptitude for learning new technologies, and data platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large amounts of information and translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and actionable insights at the executive level
  • Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, including the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across teams and functions through professionalism, empathy, credibility, and strong communication
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a growth mindset, with a desire to continuously learn and develop

Preferred Skills:

  • Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CPA, or similar designation is considered an asset

The expected salary range for this position is $140,000-180,000 per year.
