Job Description
As Manager – Reconciliations, you will provide leadership, governance, and oversight across Cash, Position, Private Credit, and Derivatives Reconciliation functions. You will be accountable for ensuring reconciliation activities are performed accurately, completed on time, and delivered in accordance with established control standards, client requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide end-to-end governance and oversight of reconciliation processes, including Deal Closings, Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Prepayments, Cash, Positions, Invoice and Derivatives Reconciliations.
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust control framework to ensure compliance with SOPs, client requirements, SOC1, SOX, regulatory obligations, internal audit requirements, and enterprise risk standards.
- Lead, coach, and support supervisors and team members by identifying process gaps, driving corrective actions, and creating sustainable capacity within the function.
- Ensure timely completion of mid-year and year-end performance reviews, providing meaningful feedback, development opportunities, and coaching to support employee growth and engagement.
- Monitor and govern daily operational KPIs to ensure performance remains within target benchmarks, all service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved, and operational risks are proactively managed.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, escalation management, and governance forums to address service delivery challenges, control exceptions, operational risks, and client concerns in a timely manner.
- Oversee workforce planning, capacity management, prioritization of deliverables, and the execution of strategic initiatives to support business growth / transformation and operational stability.
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization, standardization, automation, and the adoption of AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, transparency, and control effectiveness.
- Partner closely with Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to implement best practices and continuously strengthen the reconciliation operating model.
The Experience You Bring
- 12–15 years of relevant industry experience in Portfolio Reconciliations, Corporate Loans and Structured Finance, within Middle Office Operations, including 6 - 7 years in a people leadership role.
- Strong subject matter expertise across Reconciliations, Private Credit, Trade Management, Corporate Actions, Data Management, Derivatives, and related Middle Office functions.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment in identifying issues, assessing risks, determining materiality, and escalating matters appropriately.
- Excellent organizational, operational, project management, and process improvement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven commitment to accuracy, quality, accountability, and timely execution of deliverables.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and build effective partnerships across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented professional with the ability to work independently while driving team performance and operational excellence.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Effective prioritization and workload management skills, with the ability to balance competing business demands, strategic initiatives, and operational responsibilities.
- Academic requirements
- BCOM / MCOM / MBA or any professional qualification with Finance as the major Specialization
- Any additional certifications or training related financial operations will be a plus.
