Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Documentation Coordinator in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and help address security-related concerns while supporting routine patrols. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain accurate entry and exit records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access-related concerns, alarms, and requests for assistance.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, interior areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive facility information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
