Job Description:

As a Kitchen Hand, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Yennora.  

St Vincent's Care Services Yennora (locally known as Rosary Village) is a 141-bed facility located approximately 29km from Sydney's CBD.

We have the below openings-

1x Permanent Full-time - Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm.

2x Permanent Part-time - Min. 3 days a week, 4pm to 8pm.

Things that work for us: 

• Cert III in Hospitality and/or Food Preparation Certificate desirable

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate essential or willing to obtain.

• Experience in Hospitality, Aged Care, Hospital environment and/or related field ideal  

• Providing services that support high quality food services outcomes for residents, customers and staff of the Facility 

• Ability to work in the kitchen or on serving, completing wash-up duties &/or whatever is required to provide an excellent food service for our residents.

• Willingness to support the laundry and maintenance team when required with duties like - unloading deliveries, moving furniture to facilitate repairs/ maintenance work.

• An ability to provide catering/ kitchen, laundry and maintenance services that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation, and food safety standards

• High level of customer service skills 

• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills 

• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months) 

• NDIS Worker Screening Check will be a requirement of this role.
