What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and restricted-area protocols in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and maintain professional communication with patients, visitors, staff, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
