Key Responsibilities
- You will be managing the Fuel Performance of Time Charter vessels from Pre-Fixture, Post Fixture, Operations to redelivery.
- You will be working closely with Ships’ Onboard Management team, TC Vessels’ Technical Managers and Owners in identifying optimisation oppurtunities in vessel operations and collaborating with relevant stakeholders in finding solutions to optimise vessel performance and improve schedule reliability.
- You will be working very closely with chartering team to ensure optimal TC Fleet composition.
Key Tasks
- Monitor & analyze ship’s Daily, Monthly Performance reports/ trends on energy performance indicators and identify the areas of optimization.
- Identify vessels with potential to improve performance and engage with them to highlight areas of improvement, provide relevant technical suggestions / best practices to improve performance and follow up with vessels / owners of TC vessels till the performance is improved.
- Ensure vessels follow procedures and operate at technically optimum levels.
- Analyze data to identify patterns and provide insights on preventing a repetition of failure or missed opportunity.
- Conduct monthly meeting with Owners / Technical managers of TC vessels to provide a feedback on vessel performance and agree upon a plan to improve performance of vessels as required.
- Provide weekly & monthly update on vessel performance to Chartering team highlighting performance of vessels and their impact on operations, performance against emissions reduction targets and collect relevant information from them to better plan performance management of vessels
- Liaise with several teams in business like deployment and Operations to explain the need to manage hull performance of vessels and get their buy-in to provide relevant support
- Identify vessels which require hull inspection / cleaning, liaise with Hull Performance Manager to get the vessel inspected / cleaned
- Review Paint chosen by Technical Managers / Owners of TC vessels for the vessels to be dry-docked and work with them to upgrade paints
- Review baselines created for vessel performance comparison and liaise with internal stakeholders to improve the models and baselines as required
- Drive innovations and initiate projects with Technical Manager / Owners of TC vessels towards improving vessel performance.
- Support development of new data reporting & analysis tools as required from time to time in order to constantly improve vessel performance management.
- Develop knowledge database and provide training/knowledge sharing to relevant stakeholders as required.
- Convince owners of TC vessels to retrofit their vessels with Energy Saving Devices in order to improve efficiency and follow up on the progress of such projects for internal reporting.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical/Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture, with strong understanding of Ship’s On-Board operations.
- Sea going experience with experience in Senior Ranks is preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates with Data analytics experience (R, Python, PowerBI) will have an advantage
- Self-Motivated, Energetic Individual with strong Analytical mindset.
- Should possess very good communication skills and can work efficiently with multicultural teams. Additionally, you have enhanced problem-solving skills and interest in tackling challenges with innovative solution and maximizing the use of resources available.
- Should be able to enjoy working in fast paced, result oriented environment.
- Should be able to influence/lead discussions with stakeholders in achieving results.
