About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Android HMI/UI Developer with 9 to 12 years of experience in designing, architecting, and developing next-generation Android Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Android application development, UI architecture, FIGMA-based design implementation, and leading teams in delivering exceptional user experiences.
This role requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise, architecture ownership, stakeholder management, mentoring capabilities, and a passion for creating intuitive, visually rich, and high-performance user interfaces, particularly in Automotive and Embedded environments.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of Android HMI/UI applications and platforms.
- Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable UI frameworks and component libraries.
- Collaborate with UX designers and product teams to translate FIGMA designs into production-ready applications.
- Drive UI/UX strategy and ensure adherence to design standards across multiple products.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
- Define and enforce Android development best practices, coding standards, and review processes.
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and usability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Business Stakeholders.
- Lead technical design discussions, effort estimations, sprint planning, and feature prioritization.
- Resolve complex UI, integration, and performance bottlenecks.
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging UI technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
- Participate in customer discussions and provide technical recommendations for UI/HMI solutions.
What You Need to Be Successful
Technical Skills
- 9–12 years of experience in Android application development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Extensive experience with:
- Android SDK

- RecyclerView
- Custom UI Components
- Strong experience implementing and managing UI workflows using FIGMA.
- Expertise in Android architecture patterns:

- Experience building scalable Design Systems and reusable component frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON parsing, and application integration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code quality tools, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of memory optimization, performance tuning, and application security.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and DevOps practices.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven experience leading teams and mentoring junior developers.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to drive technical decisions and influence architecture direction.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in fast-paced projects.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in Automotive HMI Development.
- Hands-on experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
- Experience working on Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, HUD, or IVI systems.
- Knowledge of Automotive standards and development processes.
- Experience with Motion Design, Advanced Animations, and Micro-interactions.
- Familiarity with Embedded Android Platforms.
- Experience with UX research, usability testing, and customer journey mapping.
- Exposure to AI-driven user interfaces and intelligent cockpit solutions.
- Experience working with global Automotive OEMs such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, or Stellantis.
What Makes You Eligible
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 9–12 years of professional experience in Android UI/HMI development.
- Demonstrated success in leading development teams and delivering complex Android products.
- Strong experience implementing enterprise-grade UI solutions from FIGMA designs.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with design teams, architects, customers, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of modern Android architecture, performance optimization, and UI engineering best practices.
- Ability to own end-to-end feature delivery from design discussions through production deployment.
