Job Overview
Do you enjoy solving complex problems and keeping operations running smoothly? Marvin, a premier window and door manufacturer in North America, is opening a new distribution center in Dalton, GA. We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the our facility and equipment. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot equipment issues, perform repairs with minimal oversight, and support preventive maintenance activities. You’ll also complete inspections, document work through the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, and help maintain a safe, organized work environment.
You’ll excel if you enjoy taking initiative, developing daily goals and strategies, and can confidently analyze equipment issues to determine the best repair solutions. Success in this role comes from strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping facility operations running efficiently.
This is an in office position at our Dalton, GA facility.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm
Pay: $23.00-$28.00/hr
Highlights of your role
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on both the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Use the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to document repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and completed work orders.
- Maintain powered industrial vehicles (PIVs), including preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair dock doors, plates, and associated controls.
- Set up new equipment, troubleshoot issues using specialized tools, and determine the most effective repair solutions.
- Provide maintenance status updates to supervisors, and submit daily end-of-shift reports.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate's degree preferred
- 3+ years of related maintenance experience and/or training
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment setup
- Ability to interpret blueprints and part drawings
- Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses
- Basic understanding of general building maintenance and equipment repair
Also want to make sure you have
- Experience using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing multiple maintenance tasks
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
