## The impact you’ll make

We have an exciting opportunity in the Mechatronics commodity to be able to support Lam’s growth. This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) organization. In this position, you, as a Supplier Business Manager, play a vital role in managing Mechatronics Suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of parts to Lam Factories and Remote Factories. You are the key interface to the supplier’s operations and own their performance to Lam, ensuring the suppliers meet targets for key performance indicators. Your experience in Supplier Contracts & Price Negotiations for Mechatronics, Machining & Sheet Metal will be added advantage.

The candidate will represent the Supply Chain on cross-functional teams with Product Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supplier Quality Engineers. Candidate should be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting customers. This individual should also possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a close-knit team setting.

You will define & monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous improvement; then drive team to address and close gaps to meet objectives.

## What you’ll do

• Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against established scorecards and expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and sustainability. Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
• Continuously work on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max, consignment) & manufacturing strategies, at times in partnership with Strategic Commodity Managers.
• Motivate and drive the improvement of the suppliers’ manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery.
• Have knowledge of supply chain management business processes and proper governance controls for factory management would be added advantage.
• Establish goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand.
• Represent supplier business management on a cross-functional commodity teams that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied.
• Work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements.
• Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects.
• Work with suppliers to monitor product costs preventing negative Part Price Variance and supporting cost reduction efforts.

## Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or applied sciences with 8 years of experience; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a Ph.D with 3 years.
• At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience preferred
• Familiarity with semiconductors, electrical equipment, or high-technology supply chain management practices, standards, and organizations.
• Strong business acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various levels and roles throughout the organization.
• Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
