JOB PURPOSE:

This work study position would require a student to handle various administrative tasks for the Academic Affairs and the Student Affairs offices at the law school. The primary work would center on the law school’s course-attendance reporting process, and the student would input, verify, and organize weekly attendance data. This position suits a student who is detail-oriented, comfortable with basic data-entry software like Google Sheets or Excel, and able to work independently on a recurring schedule. Student must be able to maintain confidential information with discretion.

PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY

  • Currently enrolled and eligible for federal work-study

  • Competency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) (proficiency is not required, but student should have some familiarity with one or both of these programs)

  • Strong attention to detail and reliability in meeting weekly deadlines

  • Ability to handle confidential student records with discretion

  • Comfortable learning new software applications as needed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input weekly attendance records from paper rosters into the designated spreadsheet system

  • Retrieve and consolidate attendance data from digital attendance applications, as needed

  • Collate attendance responses across courses and sections

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and flag discrepancies to the Associate Dean or other designated supervisor.

  • Assist with related student affairs administrative tasks as time permits, such as distributing class recording links or other basic tasks involving good email communications skills

SCHEDULE:

  • 3-5 hours per week Fall 2026

RATE OF PAY:

  • $18.00 per hour

      Eligibility to Work

Failure to have a completed I-9 form on file with the College will result in immediate termination of employment.
