The Role

The Provet team is part of Covetrus as the premier leading veterinary distributor in Australasia and has a long history of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in customer service to our vet and veterinary practice clients.

We are currently seeking to recruit an Export Officer to be based at our Northgate office. Reporting to the Export Supervisor, you will be working closely with international Veterinary clients, helping them to access vital pharmaceuticals and consumables for their clinic practices.

This role will leverage your administration skills, attention to detail, product knowledge and knowledge of in clinic procedures so that you can support our global veterinarian community.  

Your responsibilities will include –

  • Client and sales administration – this will involve processing orders, responding to client queries regarding accounts, products and freight, actioning retention calls and providing product recommendations.
  • Dispatch and documentation process – ensuring orders are transported appropriately to clients in line with requests and ensuring all relevant paperwork and documentation is processed correctly.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness involving all export operations.
  • Providing advice regarding suitable transportation, taking into account costs and customer preferences.
  • Providing assistance to Production Team Leader in resolution of queries.

About You

Ideally you will display –

  • Demonstrated experience within the veterinary industry, ideally as a Vet Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in Export and Export Administration (a great to have but not essential).
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Minimum intermediate skills in MS Excel.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to come up with pragmatic solutions.
  • A customer service focus coupled with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Learning ability relating to picking up new systems.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities.
