Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Feature Lead with strong experience in modern web application development, backend services, automation, and server administration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python/FastAPI, JavaScript/React, PowerShell scripting and hands-on experience working across both Windows and Linux environments. This role requires an engineering mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to build scalable applications while supporting infrastructure automation and remote system operations.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
- Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
- Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
- Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
- Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
- Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
- Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
- Participate in architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and Python to streamline operational and deployment processes
- Build and maintain scripts for server administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Automate routine maintenance, patch validation, and operational workflows
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Python (FastAPI) and React.js
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and enterprise platforms
- Develop RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices-based solutions
- Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries
- Administer and troubleshoot applications running on both Windows and Linux servers
- Perform application deployments, configuration management, and environment support activities
- Diagnose performance, connectivity, and system-level issues across platforms
- Execute and automate remote command execution from jump servers/bastion hosts
- Develop secure utilities and workflows to perform administrative operations across distributed environments
- Troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, and infrastructure-related issues
- Demonstrate working knowledge of operating system internals, kernel concepts, process management, memory utilization, networking, and system performance tuning
- Analyze application behavior and troubleshoot issues involving OS, services, and infrastructure layers
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong scripting expertise using PowerShell
- Strong working knowledge of both Windows Server and Linux environments
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
- Experience with remote server administration and automation
- Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, HTML5, and CSS
- Understanding of operating system concepts, kernel fundamentals, process management, and networking
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (AD, LDAP, OAuth, SSO)
