About the role

Consilio is in the middle of a shift from a services-led business to a software- and product-led one. The Director of Product Management is a senior leader in that shift - accountable for the strategy, roadmap, and commercial outcomes of a major product area, and for building the PM craft in the people who work on it.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will own outcomes end to end: setting direction for the ECI Product making the trade-offs, and standing behind the results with customers, engineering, and the executive team.  We are looking for doers who will research, write and drive requirements as part of an ongoing partnership around execution. 

Responsibilities

What you'll own

• Product strategy and roadmap for your area - a clear point of view on where the product goes over the next 12–24 months, backed by market evidence, customer research, and business economics.
• Product execution working alongside engineering, design, and delivery. You set the standard for how the work is done, not just what gets shipped.
• Sales readiness – including sales and market enablement in partnership with the .
• Cross-functional partnership with sales, marketing, operations, and delivery, including the pre-sales and enablement motion needed to sell software rather than staffed services.

Responsibilities

Strategy and discovery

• Build and defend a product strategy grounded in the legal technology and eDiscovery market: buyer economics, competitive positioning, and where AI genuinely changes the workflow.
• Run continuous discovery with corporate legal departments, law firms, and internal review and operations teams. Translate what you hear into problems worth solving, not feature requests.
• Size and sequence opportunities; say no clearly and explain why.

Delivery

• Own the roadmap and release plan for your area. Partner with engineering leadership on scope, sequencing, and technical trade-offs.
• Set outcome-based success measures before work starts, and report against them honestly afterward.
• Bring order to intake - a single, visible path for customer requests, sales escalations, and internal ideas, with transparent prioritization.

Commercialization

• Partner with product marketing on positioning and launch readiness.
• Equip sales and client services to sell and support the product: value narrative, demos, competitive framing, qualification guidance in partnership with Product Marketing
• Support strategic deals and executive customer conversations without letting the roadmap become a queue of one-off commitments.

Leadership

• Hire, coach, and develop product managers. Raise the craft bar in writing, discovery, analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Operate the decision rights for your area - clear on what you decide, what you recommend, and what you escalate.
• Represent your product area to the executive team and, where relevant, to customers and the market.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

Required

• 8+ years in product management
• Track record owning a B2B or enterprise SaaS product line with real success accountability - not just feature delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategy from evidence: market data, customer research, and unit economics, not intuition alone.
• Strong written communication. You can make a complex trade-off legible to an executive audience in a page.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping build the operating model rather than inheriting a finished one.
• Experience partnering closely with engineering on complex platform or data-heavy products.

Strongly preferred

• Legal technology, eDiscovery, compliance, information governance, or regulated-industry software experience.
• Experience taking AI or ML capabilities from promising demo to dependable, sellable product - including the evaluation, trust, and change-management work that requires.
• Experience in a company transitioning from services to product, or in a PE-backed growth environment.
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, security and privacy requirements, and the realities of large-scale client data.
