Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Services in West Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic media and technology location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Using computer or tablet tools, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a media and technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production or office areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations, incidents, and post-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
