We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and holding bins, tanks, structural steelwork and related plant equipment. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment through high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards and effective maintenance practices.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Fabricate, assemble, install and repair bins, tanks, chutes, hoppers, pipelines and structural steel
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches and specifications accurately
- Perform welding, cutting, bending and shaping of metal components as required
- Conduct planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment
- Inspect equipment and identify faults, wear or structural defects
- Ensure all repairs and installations comply with safety and quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and job cards closure
- Work closely with maintenance coordinator, maintenance planners and engineering team to minimize downtime
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment and workshop assets
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department
- Provide input into boiler-making shutdown activities, maintenance tasks, and project work as required
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects related to fabrication and the enhancement of machine guarding across the plant
- Drive initiatives to reduce product leakage across the plant and improve sealing integrity on pneumatic pipeline systems used for product transportation

Qualification and experience:
- Trade Test Certificate as a qualified Boilermaker (Red Seal or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years post-trade experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience in welding (MIG, TIG, arc welding) and fabrication work
- Knowledge of pressure systems, boilers, and structural steelwork
- Basic understanding of preventative maintenance systems
