Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Field Operations in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic educational environment. You will conduct routine foot and bicycle patrols, monitor access points, assist with badge-related activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. This role offers opportunities to provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and support a welcoming campus atmosphere through teamwork, integrity, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate campus representatives and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with the campus community.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
