Join Our Team as a Sous Chef!
Work alongside our Executive Chef to lead a team of culinary professionals, crafting exceptional dishes and memorable dining experiences. Take charge of menu creation, inspire creativity, and ensure top standards for safety and cleanliness. Manage inventory and costs, promote teamwork, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, 2–4 years in a high-volume restaurant, and strong leadership and communication skills.
This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Menu Magic & Culinary Creativity: Craft exciting menus and mouthwatering dishes, rallying your crew and keeping things smooth—all while serving up Aimbridge Hospitality style and fun!
- Kitchen Command & Crew Collaboration: Lead your team to whip up delicious dishes and keep the kitchen running smoother than a whisk in whipped cream—mixing fun, teamwork, and flair every step of the way!
- Safety First & Clean Cuisine: Lead the team in keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and up to food safety standards through proper training and certification.
- Inventory Wizards & Budget Guardians: As the kitchen’s inventory manager, you skillfully control supplies and costs by monitoring ingredient usage, minimizing waste, and regularly reviewing sales and forecasts to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Hospitality Heroes: Bring your brightest smile and sharpest look to every guest and team member, tackling any challenge with a friendly vibe and top-notch style!
- The Rulebook & The Extras: Consistently maintain attendance as scheduled in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, adapting to the hotel's operational needs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with clear communication and effective issue resolution for both coworkers and guests.
- Proficient in Windows and office software; skilled in financial analysis and basic math.
- Handles complex problems independently, maintains composure under pressure, and adapts to flexible schedules.
