Hourly Pay Rate: $18.75 per hour

On-site: 266 S Hobble Creek Canyon Rd, Springville UT, 84663 (Hobble Creek Canyon)

Schedule:

  • Sunday
    • 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • Wednesday, Thursday
    • 10:00am - 10:00pm

Do you bring emotional awareness, strong boundaries, and a desire to support healing in high-acuity environments? Are you calm under pressure and committed to showing up with purpose? If so, Embark at Springville invites you to join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician, a key role in our trauma-informed, residential treatment program for adolescent girls.

Nestled in the serene beauty of Hobble Creek Canyon, Embark at Springville is more than a treatment center—we’re a healing community. We specialize in helping girls ages 12–17 navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics. Our approach is family-centered, evidence-based, and deeply relational.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in following their daily routines and activities with structure and encouragement

  • Ensure alignment between student progress and individualized treatment plans developed by therapists

  • Intervene promptly and effectively during emotional or behavioral escalations to maintain safety and stability

  • Implement proactive crisis prevention strategies and provide crisis management when necessary

  • Maintain consistent and thorough documentation and reporting of client interactions and incidents

  • Uphold a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all clients

  • Engage in staff and house bonding activities to foster teamwork and community cohesion

  • Perform daily light housekeeping tasks (e.g., sweeping, tidying common areas, dishes) to maintain a clean and organized living space

  • Model positive behaviors and attitudes, reinforcing a healthy and constructive environment for clients

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Comfortable responding to high-acuity behaviors, including verbal/physical outbursts and emotional dysregulation.
  • Strong emotional regulation and boundary-setting skills.

  • Willingness to learn! We understand not everyone has direct experience, but if you are skilled at boundaries, safety, and passionate about adolescent mental health, we encourage you to apply!
  • Preferred: Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, residential, or crisis setting.

Required:

  • 21+ years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check
  • Current driver's license
  • Ability to learn CPR and First-Aid.

Benefits

  •  Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance – Multiple plan options including PPO and HDHPs with HSA eligibility and company contributions.
  • Paid Parental Leave – Up to 6 weeks fully paid for exempt employees and 4 weeks for non-exempt.
  • Life & Disability Coverage – Company-paid life, AD&D, and long-term disability; voluntary life and optional short-term disability available.
  • 401(k) with Company Match – Retirement savings with matching contributions after eligibility period.
  • PTO & Holidays – Competitive PTO accrual plans and paid holidays throughout the year.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Free, confidential support for life’s challenges.

Embark is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. We are committed to enriching the therapeutic and healing experience we offer through the diversity of our employees and community. We actively seek to recruit and support a broadly diverse staff who contribute to our excellence, diversity of viewpoints and experiences, and relevance in a global society.
