PROGRAM AND LOCATION: VOA-NCNN, a Certified Great Place to Work, is recruiting for a full-time Job Developer for our Subsidized Employment Program located in Mather, California. Full-time employees (working 30 or more hours a week) are eligible for a benefits package that includes paid holidays, vacation, sick pay, health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance coverage.
Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Job Developer’s primary responsibility is to engage with local employers to develop and maintain ongoing mutually beneficial relationships that promote the hiring of SEP participants, while meeting the business needs of the employer.
OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES:
Responsible for identifying businesses for client placement to achieve established objectives of the department.
Create, Develop and Implement Strategic Partnership with Business Community and Small business affiliates.
Responsible for self-development.
Qualifications
EQUIVALENT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma/GED required, and associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with the business community as it relates to recruiting for employment and/or performing related marketing. The position requires strong working knowledge of employment referral sources and the ability to establish relationships/new resources for employment. Must have the flexibility to work irregular hours. Must have the willingness to function as a team member with the ability to make skillful independent decisions. Ability to demonstrate proficiency working with computers including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database systems required. Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines are required. Must pass all required background clearances in accordance with agency, County, State, and federal standards. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days of employment. Completion and maintenance of all required training and health clearances.
