What You'll Do

 

The Referral Management Coordinator is a member of the Workforce Management and Call Center Technology team responsible for the administrative coordination of incoming patient referrals. Working primarily within Leading Reach and Epic, the Coordinator ensures that referral records are accurately captured, tracked, and actioned in accordance with established workflows and compliance standards. This role sits at the intersection of patient access and operational administration and is well-suited for candidates with a background in healthcare operations, medical administration, or patient-facing contact work who are organized, detail-driven, and comfortable navigating multiple platforms simultaneously.

Who You Are

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously
• Strong verbal communication skills with a patient-centered approach
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a consistent approach to documentation and follow-through
• Comfort working in a high-volume, queue driven environment with defined productivity and quality expectations

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare administrative, patient access, medical scheduling, or contract center environment
• Working knowledge of medical referral workflows and an understanding of the patient access process in an outpatient or specialty care setting
• Prior hands-on experience with Epic and/or Raintree for patient scheduling, referral documentation or authorization preferred
• Familiarity with Leading Reach or a comparable referral management platform preferred
• Experience in a PT, orthopedic, or outpatient rehab setting preferred
• Exposure to payer authorization processes, including verification, pre-authorization, submission, and follow up preferred

Compensation

• Base Compensation: $26 - 29 / hour

(Any posted pay range considers multiple compensations factors including background, experience, and work location while also allowing for salary growth within the position)
