Location: Nacogdoches, TX

Client Site: Nacogdoches Medical Center – SOUTH Campus

Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on call rotation required; occasional OT hours

Employment: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

(VRI) is hiring an experienced BMET II / CE Technician II to join our team supporting Nacogdoches Medical Center – SOUTH Campus, in Nacogdoches, Texas. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Biomedical Equipment Technician who enjoys troubleshooting technical challenges, working independently and partnering with clinical teams. WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a BMET II / CE Technician II, you’ll perform preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance on biomedical and clinical equipment throughout the hospital while partnering with clinical staff to support safe and reliable patient care.


Responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on biomedical and clinical equipment • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medical equipment in a timely and effective manner • Perform corrective maintenance on malfunctioning equipment • Conduct electrical safety testing and equipment performance verification • Inspect, test and calibrate medical equipment as required • Respond to service requests and equipment-related needs throughout the hospital • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and service documentation • Utilize computerized maintenance/work-order systems to document equipment history and completed work • Ensure work complies with hospital policies, applicable regulatory standards and manufacturer recommendations • Collaborate with clinical staff and facilities teams to resolve equipment issues • Work independently with minimal supervision while communicating effectively with the broader team • Participate in the required on-call rotation • Support occasional weekend or after-hours needs based on operational demands • Complete additional technical projects and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for more than an entry-level technician. We need an experienced, dependable BMET / CE professional who understands the demands of a hospital environment, can troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues independently, and communicates professionally with clinical staff. You should be technically strong, organized, responsive and comfortable taking ownership of equipment issues from diagnosis through repair, documentation and resolution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2+ years of recent, hands-on Biomedical Equipment Technician or CE experience • Recent hospital or healthcare BioMed/CE experience required • Minimum two-year Associate degree or equivalent required formal technical education/training from an accredited technical program • On-the-job training alone will not be considered in lieu of the required formal education • Internship-only experience will not satisfy the hands-on experience requirement • Strong biomedical equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and repair skills • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration, performance verification and electrical safety testing • Strong organizational and documentation skills • Experience using computerized maintenance, CMMS or work-order systems • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with clinical and facilities teams • Strong communication and customer-service skills in a healthcare environment • Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional weekend work as needed • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
