Corporate Safety Specialist
Location: Metro Manila
Work Arrangement: On-site
Employment Type: Full-time
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Safety Specialist to oversee occupational health and safety programs, workplace safety compliance, incident management, and safety risk assessments for a leading multinational organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Secretary of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, including preparation of meeting minutes, monitoring of recommendations, and submission of required reports.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety training programs and ensure compliance with applicable DOLE requirements and OSH standards.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and participate in accident/incident investigations.
- Maintain and monitor accident and incident records and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Support government inspections, accident investigations, and other regulatory safety programs.
- Conduct and coordinate Security Threat and Risk Assessments for corporate offices and facilities.
- Coordinate investigations involving critical safety and security incidents and prepare corresponding reports and recommendations.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise safety and security policies.
- Support physical security, emergency preparedness, and recovery strategies during disaster situations.
- Work closely with Facilities, Property Management, landlords, contractors, fit-out consultants, and other service providers on safety and security requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, construction, and applicable local safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/College Degree in a relevant field.
- DOLE-accredited Safety Practitioner / SO3 or equivalent certification is required.
- At least 5–6 years of relevant experience in Occupational Health & Safety, EHS, HSE, or corporate safety.
- Experience in a corporate or multinational organization is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine OSH standards, including RA 11058 and DOLE DO 198-18.
- Experience in workplace safety inspections, incident investigation, risk assessment, and safety training.
- Knowledge of building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and applicable engineering/construction standards.
- Experience working with contractors, property management groups, landlords, and service providers is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
