Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects located in or around Chattanooga, TN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-$28/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Sheet Metal Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
- Measure and mark dimensions on sheet metal materials
- Cut and shape metal to required specifications
- Drill, rivet, and bolt sheet metal components together
- Install fabricated metal parts and HVAC ductwork on commercial construction sites
- Make modifications and adjustments to installations as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and project drawings
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all job site safety standards
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial HVAC duct installation experience
- Must have own hand tools
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must have experience measuring, cutting, and installing sheet metal components
- Must have experience working in a commercial construction environment
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
