Job Overview
HOURLY RATE
1st Shift 6AM - 6:30PM - $17.00/hr
2nd Shift 6PM - 6:30AM - $17.50/hr
JOB TASKS AND DUTIES
- Monitor and maintain all equipment for proper operation, to include dryer discharges, conveyor operations, chopper operations and elevated conveyor operations.
- Maintain all areas around dryers and abort chutes clean and free of debris.
- Maintain documentation of the cooker processing areas and drying areas.
- Conduct and document test on product’s moistures every hour from each SCFW dryer.
- Maintain and document Abort paperwork.
- Conduct bucket elevator inspections and maintain needed documentation.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, tools, and utensils by compiling with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in relieving packaging personnel for breaks as needed.
- Ability to operate and communicate over two-way radio.
- Ensure reporting of all near misses to the shift supervisor.
- Participate in daily and complete facility shutdown for clean-ups.
- Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality

Responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- Work in hot indoor environment for 12+ hours
- Ability to work alone well and with others.
- Loud environment due to machinery – Hearing protection required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop for 12+ hours.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 60lbs.
- Ability to wear PPE equipment for 12+ hours (i.e., Hard hat, hair/beard net, steel toes & hearing protection)
- Ability to adhere to GMP policies when entering the production areas.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such schedules, safety rules, GMP’s and general instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Complete basic math problems
