Overview:
The Student Life- RHC student employee will provide customer service and administrative support to students, employees and visitors requesting assistance and/or additional guidance. Students in this role will be generally trained on administrative tasks, customer service, and resources at Oakton Community Colleges. A typical day could include staffing front desk, answering phone and emails, assisting student clubs, providing event support, answering questions/directing students & visitors to the right place or completing a special project detailed by supervisor or staff.

Looking for coverage during M and W - 9 am-6 pm, T and R - 9 am-6 pm and Friday 9am-1 pm
Hours could be 10-12 hours per week.

Flexible with schedule but with some consistency with hours needing to fill.

Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities or KSOAs)
- Must be a currently enrolled at Oakton College in at least 6 credit hours during the Fall and Spring semesters. Employment over the summer is allowed for students taking at least 1 credit class during the summer, or students continuing registration into the following Fall semester.
- Must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher and be in good standing at Oakton College.
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated reliability and responsibility.
- Outgoing, flexible, organized, creative, respectful, and punctuality a must.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office and Google technology (GSUITE).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Familiar with social media like Instagram, Facebook, to name a few.
- Some evening hours.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
