Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
Define and drive the overall Debit Card business strategy, product roadmap, and portfolio growth plan to achieve business objectives and strengthen market competitiveness.
Lead the development and enhancement of debit card propositions, features, benefits, pricing, and fee structures to meet evolving customer needs and market trends.
Identify new business opportunities through market intelligence, customer insights, competitor analysis, and emerging payment technologies.
2. Business Growth & Performance Management
Drive portfolio growth across acquisition, activation, card usage, retention, and customer engagement to achieve key business targets.
Develop and execute initiatives to increase transaction volume, spending, fee income, and overall profitability of the debit card business.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), portfolio performance, and P&L to ensure sustainable business growth.
3. Customer Experience & Digital Transformation
Design and enhance end-to-end customer journeys to deliver superior customer experience through simplified, seamless, and digital-first solutions.
Collaborate with digital, mobile banking, and customer experience teams to introduce innovative card features and payment capabilities.
Drive card usage through customer engagement programs, campaigns, and data-driven marketing initiatives.
4. Cross-Functional Product Delivery
Work closely with Technology, Digital Banking, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Agile delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable product solutions.
Prioritize product enhancements, define business requirements, and support end-to-end implementation from concept through launch and post-launch monitoring.
Ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.
5. Partnership & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), payment partners, and external vendors to maximize business opportunities, incentives, and operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with branch, sales, affluent, and other distribution channels to drive product penetration and customer acquisition.
Engage senior stakeholders and provide strategic recommendations to support business decisions.
6. Risk, Governance & Compliance
Ensure all debit card products and processes comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and card scheme regulations.
Partner with Risk, Fraud Management, and Security teams to strengthen controls, mitigate fraud risks, and enhance payment security capabilities including tokenization and contactless payment solutions.
Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and business readiness.
