At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Kindly note this is a 10 month contract opportunity.
- Strategic planning & channel stewardship - Support the development and execution of CIBC’s enterprise social media strategy across key platforms. Help manage channel plans, editorial priorities, and publishing approaches that align to brand objectives and audience needs.
- Content leadership & creative effectiveness - Contribute to organic content planning and help evaluate creative performance to inform recommendations. Partner with internal teams and agencies to help deliver social content that is engaging, on-brand, and effective.
- Relationship management - Build strong working relationships with Brand Marketing, line of business partners, agencies, and platform representatives. Collaborate across teams to support integrated campaigns and consistent social media execution.
- Governance & operational excellence - Help maintain social media governance standards, processes, and best practices to support compliant and consistent activity across channels. Coordinate workflows, reviews, and approvals to ensure content is delivered accurately and on time.
- Innovation, technology & emerging platforms - Monitor social trends, tools, and platform developments to identify new opportunities for the brand. Share insights and recommendations that help the team adapt to changing behaviours and improve performance.
- Creator & partner strategy - Support creator and partner initiatives that extend brand reach and relevance. Help assess opportunities, coordinate execution, and measure results to strengthen CIBC’s presence through trusted external voices.
- You have relevant experience. You bring experience in social media, digital marketing, brand marketing, or a related field. You understand how to support social programs from strategy through execution in a complex, collaborative environment.
- You give meaning to data. You enjoy interpreting performance metrics, audience behaviours, and channel insights to inform recommendations. You communicate findings clearly and use data to support decision making.
- You're motivated by collective success. You know that strong partnerships lead to better outcomes. You work well with cross-functional teams, agency partners, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated social media initiatives.
- You're digitally savvy. You stay current on social media trends, content formats, platform updates, and emerging technologies. You’re comfortable exploring new opportunities that can improve how the brand connects with audiences.
- You know that details matter. You bring strong organizational skills and a careful approach to governance, approvals, and execution. You can manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and consistency.
