Job Summary
The Key Family Wealth Investment Consultant serves as the senior investment advisor to the Family Wealth National Strategy Team (FWNST), providing sophisticated investment advice to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices. This role is responsible for leading investment strategy development, supporting sales and relationship teams, and driving growth through new client acquisition, relationship expansion, and differentiated advisory capabilities.

Essential Functions

• Serve as lead investment advisor on complex Family Wealth client and prospect engagements.
• Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies, including IPS development, asset allocation, and risk management.
• Drive new Investment Management business through consultative selling, prospecting, and partnership with Field and Segment teams.
• Support expansion of existing client relationships by identifying share‑of‑wallet opportunities.
• Collaborate with Investment Management teams on portfolio construction, alternative investments, and platform solutions.
• Articulate and deliver the Family Wealth investment value proposition internally and externally.
• Cultivate and leverage centers of influence, including attorneys, accountants, and family office professionals.
• Represent Key Private Bank as a subject matter expert through presentations, networking, and professional involvement.
• Mentor and develop investment professionals, promoting collaboration and best‑practice sharing.
• Ensure strict adherence to fiduciary, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferred)

• OR equivalent experience (required)

Work Experience

• 10 years of investment management or advisory experience serving ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients. (required)

Licenses and Certifications

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (preferred)
• Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) (preferred)

• Deep expertise in sophisticated investment strategies, including alternatives.
• Proven track record as a trusted advisor with demonstrated sales and relationship growth success.
• Strong communication skills across diverse client and advisor audiences.
• Experience as a subject matter expert and presenter.
• Demonstrated success in complex new business development.
• Expert management skills in fostering, facilitating and delivering on the ultra-high net worth market expectations
• Experience as subject-matter-expert to in-house and industry groups
• Demonstrated new business and/or client service accomplishments in ultra-high net worth market

Physical Demands

• General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Travel

• Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

Driving Requirements

• Ability to routinely and frequently operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $128,000.00 - $268,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
