Job Description:

Digital Asset Enablement Manager, North America

New York, NY

Franklin, TN

Creve Coeur, MO

Office-based

The Digital Asset Enablement Manager is responsible for the technical administration, governance, and operational optimization of our enterprise DAM platform for North America. This role is a critical technical gatekeeper and collaborative partner, ensuring that all digital assets are organized, highly discoverable, in compliance and loaded correctly according to standards.

Rather than creating assets, this role focuses on establishing technical asset requirements, collaborating proactively with Mars, Royal Canin Global, North American teams, and agency partners to ensure seamless planning and standards for ingestion, data accuracy, and premium content delivery across the NA market.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of experience administering an enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform (such as Aprimo, Adobe Experience Manager, Etc) in a complex, multi-stakeholder corporate or agency environment.
  • Deep knowledge of metadata design, taxonomy hierarchies, file naming methodologies, and Digital Rights Management (DRM).
  • Strong technical literacy regarding creative file formats (RAW, PSD, vector, high-resolution video codecs, aspect ratios, localized audio tracks).
  • Strong history of partnering with brand/creative teams early in the campaign workflow to establish technical asset specs.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of proactively navigating technical platform challenges and advising cross-functional teams.
  • Highly structured project management capabilities, comfortable coordinating across matrixed organizational boundaries (e.g., regional vs. global vs. partner brands).
  • High proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Experience with creative design workflows (Adobe Creative Cloud) to understand technical asset specifications.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • DAM Platform Administration & Governance: Oversee the structure, architecture, and day-to-day operations of the North American DAM platform (e.g., Aprimo). Ensure the system remains accurate, organized, and highly optimized for searchability and overall user experience.
  • Early-Lifecycle Technical Guardrails: Act as an essential resource during early-stage creative briefs. Set and enforce technical specifications (file formats, resolutions, dimensions, naming conventions, and metadata structures) so agency and internal teams deliver compliant assets.
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Proactive Collaboration: Proactively align and maintain operational workflows with parent company Mars, Inc., Royal Canin Global, and local North American teams (US & Canada) to coordinate global updates and meet unique regional market needs.
  • Technical Asset Validation & Ingestion: Manage the QA, validation, and loading of digital assets (imagery, video, mixed media sets, and spin sets). Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure only technically compliant, high-quality, and license-cleared assets are published.
  • Supportive Problem Solving & Platform Advocacy: Serve as a proactive, high-communication internal support resource. Navigate platform bugs, partner with system support teams, and guide internal associates and agencies through complex technical needs or platform updates.
  • Data Accuracy & Optimization: Continuously monitor and audit DAM data quality. Optimize metadata schemas, search taxonomies, and access permissions, ensuring assets are highly discoverable and accurate to preserve brand integrity across all touchpoints.
  • Training & Compliance Enablement: Author and update SOPs, ingestion checklists, and technical asset guides. Conduct routine training for internal teams and agency partners to drive high system adoption and protocol compliance.
  • Agency Deliverables Resource: Serve as the central point of contact for external agencies, aligning digital content handoffs and resolving technical delivery mismatches before they impact campaign launch timelines.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with over 130,000 with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
