Stabilization Home Behavior Technician (SHBT)

UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is seeking compassionate and dependable professionals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who have complex behavioral, psychiatric, and medical needs. Working under the supervision of a BCBA and alongside clinical and nursing teams, SHBTs provide direct behavioral and personal care support in our Stabilization Home program.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior support plans and crisis interventions.
• Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
• Support medical needs, including medication administration, insulin monitoring, and feeding tube care (training provided).
• Collect behavioral and medical data and complete required documentation.
• Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies using agency-approved procedures. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience working with individuals with IDD, behavioral health, or psychiatric needs preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete required training, including RBT, Safety-Care®, CPR, and First Aid.

Schedule

• Full-time extended shifts:
  • Thursday 9 am- Saturday 9 am, 48 hours on (live-in home) / 5 days off 
• Designated sleep period provided during each 24-hour shift.
