Job Summary

QTEC Aerospace is seeking an experienced Rotary‑Wing Aviation Maintainer with strong data‑analysis skills to support Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) and Health & Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) efforts for military aircraft. The successful candidate pairs deep hands‑on maintenance expertise with the ability to interpret aircraft health, reliability, and readiness data to drive actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate would be a former senior military aviation maintainer or maintenance manager who understands flight‑line realities, fleet‑level impacts, and can turn aircraft and maintenance data into clear, actionable insight.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Analyze rotary wing maintenance, reliability, readiness, and HUMS/IVHMS data
• Apply CBM+, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and predictive maintenance principles
• Use analytical tools (Python, MATLAB, SQL, Excel) to trend and visualize data
• Correlate HUMS data with maintenance history and operational usage
• Identify fleet level trends and recommend maintenance or engineering actions
• Support investigations into component failures, vibration issues, and recurring discrepancies
• Create dashboards, reports, and briefings for maintainers, engineers, and leadership
• Contribute to CBM+/HUMS process improvements and indicator development

 

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university with at least 10 years of maintenance experience

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to support on-site daily
• Significant military rotary wing aviation maintenance experience (helicopter or tiltrotor).
• Strong maintenance management experience at the unit level
• Experience evaluating readiness across multiple aircraft or fleet level organizations
• Deep understanding of military maintenance processes and readiness metrics
• Experience analyzing large or complex maintenance and operational datasets
• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, SQL, advanced Excel, or comparable analytical tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability clearly communicate technical findings to both maintainers and senior leadership
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• U.S. Air Force rotary wing maintenance experience
• Experience with HH-60, UH-60, UH-1N, CV-22, CH-47, or AH-64 platforms
• HUMS/IVHMS and vibration/health monitoring experience
• Background in reliability analysis, trend analysis, or FMEA/FMECA

 

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
