Position Overview
To maximize Distribution Center (DC) efficiency through effective item placement, warehouse analysis, and maintaining system related logic.Schedule: 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday- Friday.
Requirement for occasional night shift visits each month
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Job Description
- Manage unslotted, inbound items on a daily basis.
- Serve as the Site Subject Matter Expert (SME) relating to slotting of products / items in the DC.
- Maintain product quality and customer requirements meeting all regulations for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), flammability considerations, and commodity grouping.
- Balance efficiencies between all aspects of the business (receiving, shipping, etc.) in order to maximize the overall capacity and efficiency of the DC.
- Work closely with Site Leadership to drive productivity, capacity, reduce damage, team performance, all while keeping safety in mind.
- Generate, retain and execute product location planning, distro/allocation sale setup, procurement forecasting, moves lists, seasonality, resets and new business based on reports, tools, and insights provided by operation and corporate teams.
- Monitor, manage and suggest modifications as necessary over discrepancies between what the systems and reality is showing related to exception reports, slot capacities, etc.
- Liaison between DC and corporate functions such as procurement to thoroughly and accurately manage all product dimensional issues & description related issues.
Position Requirements and Preferences:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred MHE Certification (Pallet jack & Lift) & Selector Experience (1 year)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Access experience preferred
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WICS, EXE, Triceps, etc.) is a plus
- Has thorough warehouse systems knowledge
- Has general working knowledge of all departments
- Is a self-motivated critical thinker
- Has the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet multiple, sometimes changing goals
