The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager (Level L) to join the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) team in Everett, WA!
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Senior Manager within the Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the B‑52 Re‑Engine Program, supervising employees and first‑level managers, allocating propulsion resources, and developing team capability to deliver engine capability, integration, test, and sustainment activities on schedule and within budget.
- Implement and maintain Program Management Best Practices for propulsion scope, driving continuous process and digital improvements (including tools supporting Earned Value Management System (EVMS), configuration management, and data integration) to optimize major supplier performance and propulsion system maturity.
- Lead propulsion‑specific risk, issues, and opportunity management; validate supplier mitigation plans; prioritize tradeoffs among cost, schedule, and performance; and track burndown with appropriate metrics and EVMS data.
- Build and sustain stakeholder relationships across Air Force customers, engine company, propulsion suppliers, test teams, sustainment partners, and internal IPTs; apply business acumen and global supply‑chain awareness to align propulsion strategy with program objectives, contracting realities, and long‑term fleet sustainment.
- Senior Leader managing the Propulsion IPT’s EVM team
- Responsible for ensuring compliant financial data is maintained on a monthly basis for all IPT control accounts.
- Oversee propulsion part cost and flow management from engineering release through supply base and manufacturing to the aircraft modification site: enforce engineering release-to-production handoffs, validate cost estimates and supplier quotes, synchronize material lead times and production schedules, monitor build quality and delivery performance, and implement corrective actions to maintain on budget, on time part availability for modification and fleet induction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
- Experience as a leader or manager
- Experience with EVM and CAM supporting Boeing DoD contracts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
